Six Senses Hideaway Zighy Bay is located on a headland on the northern Musandam Peninsula in the Sultanate of Oman. It is set between dramatic mountains to the rear and a broad sandy beach in front.

The Musandam Peninsula is an exclave region of the Sultanate of Oman, separated from the rest of the country by the United Arab Emirates. Zighy Bay is located 120 kilometres, or less than a two?hour drive from Dubai International Airport, which is the gateway city to the Six Senses Hideaway Zighy Bay.

The peninsula's rugged mountains, which rise up to 2,100 metres above the coast and juts into the Strait of Hormuz, have a spectacular fjord-like look. It is no wonder that Musandam is also called The Norway of the Middle East.

Six Senses Hideaway Zighy Bay is the first property operated by Six Senses Resorts & Spas in the Middle East. The site of the Six Senses Hideaway Zighy Bay is a secluded fishing village, with villa accommodations and a private marina located between the mountains and the beach.

Guests have the choice of three arrival experiences: A scenic fifteen-minute speed boat trip; a winding drive down from the hill top overlooking the bay; or travel as a companion passenger with the Six Senses Hideaway's professional paraglider. The Six Senses Spa is a holistic oasis nestled into the Zighy Bay mountainside which provides nine treatment rooms, a juice bar and two Arabian Hammams inspired by centuries of tradition. The spa's wide-ranging menu of regional and Six Senses signature treatments focuses on holistic and pampering therapies using only natural products. Treatments are administered by skilled international therapists and specialist practitioners who combine Eastern and Western techniques with modern day lifestyle programmes to balance the senses.

A Green Hotel
This resort was designed to blend with the natural surroundings of Zighy Bay and the Musandam and was built according to old Omani traditional style. To ensure it's operations are also in line with the environment and our immediate surroundings, an environmental management system is in place which is based on the Six Senses? Holistic Environmental Management Programme (HEMP). This combined with awareness raising campaigns and project support from the Six Senses Social and Environmental Fund (SERF); they hope to contribute to the sustainable development of the local community and help preserve this beautiful and unique place for many future generations to come.
